UNEP says “the extraction and processing of materials, fuels and food make up about half of total global greenhouse gas emissions … and more than 90 % of biodiversity loss and water stress”.

As a society, we must transform all elements of the take-make-waste system: how we manage resources, how we make and use products, and what we do with the materials afterwards.
