Developed by researchers from Victoria University of Wellington, TasmanIon’s batteries aim to offer a high performing cell that is safer, sustainable, cost-effective, and scalable for a suite of applications.

TasmanIon wants to eradicate energy poverty in developing countries and enable everyone to have access to affordable energy storage devices for renewable energy sources. Enabling people to use batteries that can store energy from solar panels safely and can be repurposed cost-effectively is our way of addressing climate change.
