Lifecycles is Australia's premium Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and circular economy specialists (clients include: Woolworths, Federal Government, Telstra, Diageo, Origin, Who Gives A Crap and more) believe data-based design decisions and well-defined metrics are key to a circular transition. With more than 80% of all product-related environmental impacts are determined during the design phase of a product there is an urgent need for life cycle thinking to be adopted more widely. Therefore Tim Grant (Member of UN Environment Program and ex-CSIRO) and the team of scientists have launched a new initiative, Lifecycles Lab, which aims to intervene early so that product developers, entrepreneurs, startups and designers are on the right path to create a sustainable product. Besides avoiding wasted time and money, the Lab will provide them with peace of mind knowing that they have evidence-based sustainable design decisions and have done their due diligence to avoid greenwashing.
