As we transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, the demand for battery metals is estimated to increase by 400% by 2050. However, copper alone currently accounts for half of the world's tailings, a type of mine waste that creates acid mine drainage, the second most significant environmental impact after climate change (UNEP). We help mitigate this but improving the tools we use for environmental management.
