BioFab
We use mycelium as a biological binder to grow a bio-composite material which is 100% biodegradable, compostable and made from 100% renewable resources. We seek to replace traditional expanded plastics such as expanded polystyrene in the packaging & construction industry with a solution that is affordable, sustainable & functional (drop in replacement).
Climate tech focus
Company mission
We are creating new materials that use truely renewable raw materials, use 90% less water and electricity than traditional plastics and pound for pound has 1/3 the amount of carbon emissions compared to expanded polystyrene (EPS). Long term we want to have significantly reduced the consumption of hard to recycle and polluting plastics while also positively contributing to the growth of fungal technology around the planet (and maybe our solar system)
