Job Description

Rainstick is a venture-backed startup bringing modern bioelectrics to agriculture and native restoration.

Rainstick has entered into trials with Rio Tinto, exploring whether bioelectric seed treatment can improve establishment in native plants for mine restoration. We are at a key turning point to scale and bring on key team members. 

We are seeking a senior hire to lead the understanding, refining, experimentation and delivery of results for this project over the next 3 years.

Responsibilities

  • High degree of autonomy, reporting to the C-Suite
  • Review and adaptation of processes to align with requirements for each native plant
  • Design and implementation of procedures related to priming, treating and QC seeds
  • Stakeholder engagement calls
  • Monthly project updates

Requirements

  • Proven project and team management skills and experience
  • Evidence of exceptional, relevant documentation and communication skills
  • Understanding of the scientific method and ability to read scientific literature
  • Willingness to relocate to Cairns, Queensland

 

Preferred Experience

  • Native Australian botany experience highly regarded
  • Knowledge of seed and seed treatment technologies
  • Startup experience
